With the training of accredited NABERS assessors for the Lighting assessment tool required under the CBD program well under way for the commencement on 1st of November 2011. Full BEEC requirements including the energy efficiency guidance form must be obtained and conducted by an accredited CBD assessor.

The Act strives to address the energy efficiency of commercial office spaces and the disclosure requirements intend to provide a potential purchaser or lessee with an indication of a building's operational efficiencies.
